Are your products safe for hermit crabs and reptiles?
Our designs are created with pet habitats in mind and printed with smooth, sturdy walls and rounded edges where possible. As with any habitat item, always supervise new additions, inspect regularly for wear, and remove anything that becomes damaged or sharp.
Can the items be used in high humidity tanks?
Yes — many customers use our items in humid hermit crab and reptile enclosures. To help items last longer, avoid prolonged soaking, ensure good airflow, and clean gently.
What are your 3D printed items made from?
Our 3D items are printed using PLA (a plant-based plastic). PLA is lightweight, sturdy, and works great for enrichment pieces like hides, dishes, and climbing decor.
Do you seal or coat your 3D prints?
Unless a listing specifically states otherwise, items are not sealed. We keep them as printed so you know exactly what’s in your enclosure.
How do I choose the right size for my crab or enclosure?
Each listing includes approximate measurements. As a general rule, choose the size that allows your crab to comfortably turn around inside a hide and gives enough room for safe climbing and movement. If you’re unsure, message us with your tank size and crab size and we’ll help!
Are measurements exact?
Measurements are approximate. Because items are 3D printed, slight variations may occur, but we stay as close to the listed dimensions as possible.
Do you offer custom colors?
Yes, when available! Many items have color options in the listing. If you’re looking for a specific color theme (or want matching pieces), reach out before ordering and we’ll tell you what we can do.
Can you customize a design (size, holes, height, etc.)?
Sometimes! If you have a special request, contact us with what you’re needing and we’ll let you know what’s possible and any pricing differences.
How do I clean my Crabby Comforts items?
We recommend gentle cleaning with warm water and mild soap, then rinse well and air dry completely. Avoid high heat (dishwashers, boiling water, heat guns) because PLA can warp.
Can these go in the dishwasher?
We don’t recommend it. Dishwashers can get hot enough to soften or warp PLA.
What if my item gets buried in substrate?
That’s common in crabitat life! Just dig it out carefully, rinse, and let it fully dry before returning it to the tank.
Food Products
How should I prepare my food when it arrives by mail?
It is always recommended to freeze all newly received food items for 48-72 hours to ensure any hitchhikers that may have been picked up in transit are killed.
How should I store hermit crab foods and treats?
Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed container. For best freshness, keep away from heat and humidity.
Are your food items safe for hermit crabs?
We only list items intended for hermit crabs/reptiles as appropriate and always recommend feeding a varied diet. If your pet has sensitivities, introduce new foods slowly and monitor.
Shipping, Processing & Returns
How long does it take to make and ship my order?
Many items are made to order. Processing times are shown at checkout and can vary during busy seasons or large drops.
Do you combine shipping for multiple items?
Yes — Shopify will calculate shipping at checkout based on the full order. If something looks off, contact us before placing the order and we’ll help.
Do you accept returns?
Because many items are made-to-order (and for hygiene reasons with pet supplies), returns may be limited. If there’s an issue with your order, please reach out and we’ll make it right.
What if my item arrives damaged?
Please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the item and packaging. We’ll work with you on a replacement or solution.
Ordering Help
I entered the wrong address — what should I do?
Message us ASAP. If the order hasn’t shipped yet, we can usually update it. Once it ships, address changes aren’t guaranteed.
Do you restock sold-out items?
Often, yes! Some items are seasonal or limited-run, but many return. If you want a specific restock, message us or sign up for back-in-stock notifications if available.
